Multimedia presentation and 3D film of the history of Piran
Once the venue for the first concerts of the Piran Music School, today Mediadom Pyrhani serves as a hub for many paths leading into Piran. It offers visitors multimedia presentations that take them through 20 centuries of Piran's history, from antiquity to modern times.
You can explore the rich cultural and sacred heritage, artworks, and unique landscape parks.
Mediadom Pyrhani houses a multipurpose hall with space for 50 visitors, suitable for lectures, cinema shows, or concerts, equipped with the latest technical equipment.
With the help of technology and media, even the distant past becomes highly interesting, and through concise texts and excellently designed films and animations, you get to know and discover the rich history of our charming town of Piran in a picturesque and relaxed way.
Centuries during which salt pans were formed and the compact fishing town surrounded by mighty walls developed are presented in two excellently animated films with short documentary clips and an attractive 3D film.
We introduce you to the most distinguished personalities of the town, archaeological discoveries, the pillory, and present you with the most interesting content from cultural institutions, traditional events, and cultural activities.
All multimedia content in Mediadom is available in five languages: Slovenian, Italian, English, German, and Russian. The 3D film is not only available in the aforementioned languages but also in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.
Visits are possible from January to December, with varying opening hours depending on the month, while Mondays are closed.
Admission fees are accessible for various age and interest groups, with special benefits for children, students, retirees, and persons with disabilities.
From Tartini Square, head up the IX. Korpus Street and follow the signs to Mediadom Pyrhani.
